And the best salade niçoise in Paris is ….

IMG_4468Look at this gorgeous and fresh salad, my favorite in summer : salad niçoise ! a specialty from South of France, Nice, on the famous french riviera. The ideal summer dish with eggs, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, tuna. Sometimes you can find also green beans even if it’s not in the original recipe. You can try this one in Paris, with an original colored twist (potatoes and radishes) at Café Ruc near Louvre, 159 rue saint Honoré, 75001. According to me the best in town ! The secret : the fresh cooked tuna and excellent vegetables.

Lux Perpetua at Kamel Mennour until may 26th

Let’s talk about contemporay art today with my favorite group show right now in 6th district at Kamel Mennour gallery : Lux Perpetua. “Light, which cannot exist without space and time, is the stuff of  artists, who battle daily in order to keep the spark of creation alive. For art remains a beacon shining in the night, a glimmer in the shadows. A shroud of the immortals; a funereal splendour. ” This  first group show ever organized by the gifted -and very charming- gallerist is truly successfull : the selection of pieces and their hanging create a dialog that is just perfect ! Admire the voluptous black waves of Soulages near Legray sea-scape at night  facing the 3D light space installation by Morellet : “m’illumino d’immenso” ! as says Alfredo Jarr and even wrote it in neon light in a room near Anish Kapoor and Ann-Veronica Janssens.

My favorite room is the one with Dan Flavin colored neon light enhancing and responding to Delacroix  radiant Othello and Desdemona,-so venitian- a true masterpiece  where the fire of passion is consuming the lover. ..

Next to the Romantic Master, Mohamed Bourouissa young promising artist – already in Pinault foundation- seems to invert the role in his composed scene, inspired by Carravaggio. I would love to speak about all the exhibition since I liked it from the beginning : I mean before you get inside the gallery, when you arrive in the courtyard, a cercle of light falls on you with Michel Verjux, while Kounellis signature is burning and Morellet winks at you from the top of the majestic architecture…

Hurry up art lovers, this perfect show ends may 26th !

Thanks to Kamel Mennour gallerry for Delacroix and Mohamed Bourouissa pictures
