The swimming pool at the RITZ : a day dream !!

Posted in beauty, hotel, Paris on July 28, 2011 by ParisDeluxe&Arty

I’ve been this morning around 1pm at my favorite spa :  the one in the Ritz and I was alone  !! I had a the pool, the steam room and jacuzzi just for me, what a delight !! It is said they are going to close it next year to refurbish it…so I take advantage of it the more I can and I do recommend the place, the biggest swimming pool in Parisian hotel with lounge chairs around and a bar that serves fantastic healthy juices. You can even eat at the pool. Moreover all the staff is lovely and you will spend unforgettable relaxing moments.

Caspita jewellery collection launching at Le Meurice Palace hotel , Paris

Posted in event, hotel, luxury, Paris on January 25, 2011 by ParisDeluxe&Arty

Last saturday Edwart and me were invited  by the sparkling creator of Caspita, Arlène Bonnant for the launching of her first high jewellery collection inspired by Art and Spirituality at le Meurice hotel, our favorite palace hotel in Paris and almost second  home !

Arlène is an art expert  specialised in contemporary art who had worked for famous auction houses and she decided to create fabulous and mesmerizing high jewellery recently-which is such a challenge today-but as an inspired artist she immediatly found a unique and very personal touch. First, the name : Caspita , with a reverted A. In italian, an expression which is the sign of wonderment. Then the first collection is based on Chakras ! I love the idea to stimulate my chakras through diamonds and gold ! here is some pictures showing Arlène  and her friend Abir Oreibi (Managing director Label.ch) wearing her creations,  and the display of other marvels from her collection in Le Meurice lounge. You can find her creations at Le Meurice hotel in Paris or in London (Kabiri boutique). Please visit her web site : http://www.caspita.ch

A new 5 stars hotel in Paris : Le Burgundy

Posted in contemporary art, hotel, luxury, Paris on September 5, 2010 by ParisDeluxe&Arty

Very ParisDeluxe&Arty indeed ! That 5 stars reopened after 2 years works as an elegant , trendy and very contemporary art oriented hotel, with soul. It’ s not just the umpteenth boutique hotel that blossoms everywhere in fashionable cities right now: Le Burgundy is different , first of all it’s a 5 stars hotel, that means : perfect welcome and  service in a friendly atmosphere. Perfection also lies in the decor, which is very clever, not works hung and displayed everywhere to give an intellectual caution to the place, but a smart arrangement between architecture, sculptures, paintings and drawing. Famous name participated to the decor as the french sculptor Guy de Rougemont : I particularly like his marble abstract scuplture, in the atrium, evoking female curves with the echo of the lines  engraved on the ground floor …

The spa is a small enchanted world, I feel like beeing in a luxury boutique when I’m an the sauna/hammam space ! I love the swimming pool too, very relaxing atmosphere based on chromotherapy. Coloured lights are changing in the evening …always the details !

I recommend you the bar, lounge and cosy ; they are specialised in Cognac.

AN IMPORTANT INFORMATION,  the location : just great ! 8 rue Duphot in the first district , just next to famous rue Cambon (Chanel house) and  Saint Honoré street, renowned for trendy shopping. You’re also very close to Tuileries garden and Concorde square, without speaking of the Louvre and Orsay in a walking distance… Hey, dear chic travellers, what else ?

here is their web site :  http://www.leburgundy.com

Ask for François the chef concierge for any request. You can book on my behalf, you’ll receive the warmest welcome.
