A star cut in Paris with David Mallett

Posted in Art, beauty, luxury, Paris on March 22, 2011 by ParisDeluxe&Arty

One of my clients once asked me something odd : she wanted absolutly a parisian cut  !…

It’s a pity I didn’t know at that time David Mallett ! A brilliant and very charming hairdresser  who he’s working for cover girls and stars. He’s very famous in fashion circles and jet set world but he’s not a diva at all, always passionate after many years of activity (he knew he wanted to be hairderesser since the age of  4 !). Last time Sharon Stone came to Paris, he took care of her and created an impressive “chignon”(french pleat). He worked also for Julian Moore and many beautiful people but he can also takes care of YOU ! with exactly  the same professionalism and special attention.

His salon is a pure enchanted world, a kind of extravagant minimalist style,  in an old private mansion near Place des Victoires , built in 17th century. Impressive volumes, natural daylight, design lamp mixed with stuffed animals. I looove the ostrich, a wink at his australian roots ?!

Please visit his web site (I thank David very much for the  pictures !)  :

If you like as me oysters, langoustines( scampi), sea-urchins…and want something different from a big brasserie, why not try this tiny little charming restaurant owned by famous french actor Gérard Depardieu,  Gaillon street 15, 2nd district ?  He made the interior design himself, you also have photographs about his carrer on the wall. You’ll feel like beeing invited in the appartment of someone you already know ! Very cosy but don’t be afraid about proximity 😉

Only fresh french sea food is served, you can even order for take away.

The façade looks like a movie set, don’t you think ?!

The best Grogg in Paris ? At the Ritz Vendome Bar !

Posted in hotels and restaurants, luxury, Paris on March 3, 2011 by ParisDeluxe&Arty

Have you seen how we went back to winter temperatures in Paris ? so if you feel cold and start to shiver,  the perfect remedy is a grogg ! My favorite : the one at the Vendôme Bar, Ritz Hotel.

Look at the pictures : a very rich grogg with fantastic perfumed vanilla, lemon and oranges slices dotted with cloves, star anise, mint leaves, rhum of course and sugar cane.

Enjoy your Deluxe&Arty grogg without waiting !
