GIVERNY, Monet house

It’s still time to visit Monet until the end of the month, before they close until april 1st.

Fall is so nice that the garden is worth admiring.

The impressionist artist settled down there in 1883, he was 43 years old, and stayed until he died in 1926. he was able to buy the house in 1890 and created his japonese garden with famous waterlilies, in 1893. I think he’s the first land art artist : he created his garden like a work of art. Do you know what he said ? “Besides painting and gardening I don’t know to do anything else” !

The pond is colored with orange, yellow and deep green tones :

There  is still flowers blossoming, like beautiful Dahlias…

So if you had the pleasure to see Monet exhibition in Grand Palais, do not hesitate, it’s 1h15 min from Paris (better to go with car), you’ll understand and appreciate Monet more and more : you really fell like beeing in his paintings when you’re  in Giverny.
